Introducing the StoryBaze Author Program

StoryBaze is building a storytelling platform where original authors can publish, grow a reader base, and earn from real reader support. As we prepare for launch, we are updating our creator program language to be clearer, safer, and more sustainable for authors, readers, and the platform.

StoryBaze Author Program creator paths

Two author paths

Standard Author

Standard authors can publish original stories on StoryBaze while keeping flexibility across platforms. This path is non-exclusive and is designed for creators who want to test the platform, build a readership, and earn from eligible reader support such as paid unlocks, tips, subscriptions, or other monetized features as they become available.

Founding Elite Series

Founding Elite is a limited, application-only path for approved stories or series. It is not a requirement that an author makes their entire career or full catalogue exclusive to StoryBaze. Instead, exclusivity applies to the specific stories or series approved for the program.

Approved Founding Elite series may qualify for:

  • Up to 70% net revenue share on approved exclusive content
  • Priority originality and moderation review
  • Extra discovery and launch support
  • A Founding Elite badge where applicable
  • Possible recoupable promotional launch support for selected creators

What “net revenue” means

Net revenue may be calculated after app store fees, payment processor fees, taxes, refunds, chargebacks, and applicable platform costs. This keeps the program honest and helps StoryBaze avoid promising payouts that are not sustainable once real operating costs are included.

Ownership and originality

Authors keep ownership of their original intellectual property. By publishing on StoryBaze, authors grant the platform the rights needed to host, display, promote, distribute, and monetize the submitted work according to the active author terms.

We also take originality seriously. Plagiarized work, rights abuse, or misleading AI disclosure can lead to removal, forfeited earnings, and account action. AI-assisted writing may be eligible under the standard policy, but authors must be transparent and must hold the rights to the final work.

A strong author program should help creators earn without putting the platform or authors in a dangerous position. The updated StoryBaze Author Program is built around practical launch economics: fair creator upside, clear expectations, and a model that can grow without depending on unrealistic guarantees.
